Collin College Continuing Education (CE) prepares aspiring professional Bookkeepers to become Certified Bookkeepers through The American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB). This course will benefit practicing and current Bookkeepers who desire the credentials and recognition only found through national certification. Prior experience not required to take the preparation course or the exam.

Candidates must pass a four (4) part national examination and sign the Code of Ethics. Two exams occur in the classroom and two at a Prometric Test Center in the DFW metroplex. Certification is obtained after passing the examination with at least two years of full-time experience (3,000 hours), part-time, or freelance equivalent.
Required Course Materials: Textbooks required for the course can be purchased at the Spring Creek Campus Bookstore (2800 E. Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano,TX)
Textbooks, testing fees, and AIPB membership are not included in tuition.
