Overview

Real estate is a dynamic field in which highly motivated people can create their own success stories. The degree program in real estate at Collin College is designed with flexibility to allow students to successfully achieve a goal, whether it be personal knowledge, earning an Associate's degree, completion of a certificate program, transfer to a college or university, or active real estate licensing.

Courses and Programs

Students will explore a variety of topics including fundamentals and principles of real estate, sources of financing, state and federal influences on financing, legal rights of owners, buyers and brokers, property appraisal, contract negotiations, and closing. An excellent instructional staff and a cooperative education program with local brokers give real estate students at Collin College a personalized, practical, high quality education.

Most of our in-person classes meet at the Frisco campus, although some are held at the Wylie, Farmersville and Celina campuses. Please refer to the Class Schedule Page for more details.

We offer our Real Estate courses in innovative 5- and 8-week express formats, making it easy for you to complete multiple courses in a semester on a schedule that works for you.

To enroll in classes at Collin College, you must first be admitted as a Credit or Non-Credit student. That process can be started through visiting the Admissions page. Once you are admitted, you can register for classes.

Be sure to monitor your school e-mail address and your Canvas course messages for important start-of-class information from your instructor. If you don't know how to check your school e-mail or Canvas messages, or if you haven't yet set up your OneLogin Protect account, visit OneLogin Information to learn more about the process. 


We offer an Associate of Applied Science degree in Real Estate Management that is designed to meet the Texas Real Estate Commission educational requirements for obtaining a Real Estate Broker License. We also offer a Level 1 Certificate Program designed to meet the initial requirements for licensing as a Real Estate Sales Agent.

Students should order a transcript and submit it to TREC for evaluation when they submit their license applications. Credit students can order an official transcript. Non-Credit / Continuing Education students can request their transcript via Continuing Education Transcript page.
