Collin College Auteur Film Series presents "Creed"

Collin College’s Auteur Film Series kicks off its Spring 2024 selections with Creed at 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1, at the Plano Campus Living Legends Conference Center. The screening and subsequent panel discussion are free and open to the public.

Michael B. Jordan stars in this remix of Silvester Stallone’s Rocky (1976), one of cinema’s all-time, won’t-quit, underdog boxing stories. The film series’ 2023-2024 theme is “Nothing New Under the Sun: Remixes and Remakes.”

The Auteur Film Series presents classic, foreign, and independent films with brief educational introductions before the screenings and faculty-led panel discussions afterward. The film series is designed to challenge the viewer’s intellect and encourage conversations that engage students in civil discourse.

The films will all be shown at 7 p.m. Doors open 30 minutes before each film begins, and seating is limited. Some material may not be suitable for all audiences.
