Collin College’s Wylie Campus to Host ShamrockFest

The Collin College Wylie Campus will host ShamrockFest, its biennial signature campus event from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursday, March 28 in the Wylie Campus courtyard, 391 Country Club Road in Wylie.

This event is open to the public and will have food trucks as well as a variety of free and fun activities including a live music performance from the Wylie Campus band “Cougar Alert,” a live DJ, henna artists, cartoonists, airbrush tattoo stations, community vendors, giveaways, inflatables, local restaurants, and much more.

Dr. Mary McRae, Wylie Campus provost, said the campus’s faculty and staff have been preparing for months to make ShamrockFest a success.

“The community involvement for this event is remarkable,” Dr. McRae said. “Local businesses and the citizens of Wylie welcomed the college long before the Wylie Campus opened its doors, and our partnerships have continued to flourish. This event is a celebration which will offer more than 25 community and college tables with a variety of fun activities.”

Visitors can learn more about Wylie Campus programs and Collin College services while picking up college and community swag.
