About the Bond

Over the last 10 years, Collin College's credit enrollment has increased by 31% and continues to grow.
To plan for this continued growth, the college developed Destination 2030, a seven-year master and strategic plan.
The Committee of 100 reconvened in 2026 to provide strategic input on staff recommendations for the master plan.
Based on the committee’s input, the Collin College Board of Trustees called for a general obligation bond election on Nov. 3, 2026.

Voting Information

Destination 2030 is the college's long-range master plan grounded in enrollment growth, workforce demand, facility conditions, and community input. Adopted by the Board of Trustees in 2023, Phase I includes the college’s top-priority projects, most of which are nearing completion. Projects in Phase I target enrollment growth, workforce gaps, and aging learning spaces.

Economic studies show that Collin College has a $1.1 billion impact on the local economy. This bond will expand spaces to prepare more students for high-wage, high-demand jobs.

Since 2018, the Collin College tax rate has stayed at $0.08122 and is anticipated to stay at the same rate with the passage of the 2026 bond.

Bond 2017

In 2017, the voters of Collin County approved a $600 million bond to expand educational opportunities across the region. Since then, Collin College has delivered on its commitments by opening the Technical Campus, Wylie Campus, Celina Campus, Farmersville Campus, Public Safety Training Center, the Frisco Campus IT Center, and the McKinney Campus Welcome Center.

Committee of 100

The original Collin College Committee of 100 successfully led the April 6, 1985 ballot referendum to establish the Collin County Community College District. Fast-forward to today, the Committee of 100 remains actively engaged with the college’s long-range planning, bringing key leaders together on a biennial basis to honor our past and plan for the future as our region continues to face significant growth.
