Where to Get One
ID cards are available at any student engagement office during normal business hours, as well as:
- Frisco Campus - Alumni Hall Room A186
- McKinney Campus - Room C118A
- Plano Campus - Conference Center
- Wylie Campus - Student Center Room SC105
- Celina Campus - Room 122
- Farmersville Campus - Room 124
- Technical Campus - Room A102D
Students, faculty and staff will be able to get their ID cards throughout the semester. Questions regarding ID cards can be directed to any student engagement office.
What to Bring
To get your ID card, students, faculty and staff will need the following:
- Know your entire nine-digit College Wide Identification (CWID) number
- Be able to present a valid physical photo ID (i.e. driver's license, passport, high school ID, military ID).

ID FAQs
If you are attending classes on-campus, you should come to campus in-person to have your ID card made.
If you are a distance learner, a student attending iCollin Virtual Campus (online courses only), you can receive your ID card through Cougar Connect without coming to a campus. Log in with your Collin College login credentials to submit an ID request form. Collin College ID Cards may be requested 24-hours after you have registered for courses.

Photos must meet the following requirements:
- Size: Roughly square, less than 6MP total, cropped to 300 x 300.
- Format: jpg or jpeg.
- Your photo must be taken within the last six months to reflect your current appearance.
- Your photo must be in color in front of a plain white or light-blue colored background.
- Your head, shoulders, and face must be facing forward and clearly visible. No profile shots, sunglasses, hats, or hands allowed.
- You must have a neutral facial expression and both eyes open in your photo.
- Your photo must be taken in clothing you usually wear daily.
- You must provide a scanned copy of a current photo ID (Example: driver’s License, high school ID, passport or military ID) for verification.
You will be notified by StudentEngagement@collin.edu if your photo does not meet the requirements listed above and asked to submit another photo. If your ID is approved, your card will be printed and mailed to you. If you have any additional questions, please email StudentEngagement@collin.edu.
ID Cards will be available for students who are enrolled in courses, and have allowed at least 24 hours to have passed since enrolling. Students enrolling past the payment deadline or in a wintermester/summer course will need to pay for the class(es) or set up a payment plafn, or their classes will be dropped.
To get a Collin College ID card produced, you will need to present a photo ID to verify your identity. If you were homeschooled and/or do not have an approved form of ID, you will need to complete a student ID form and have it notarized. After you have registered for courses, bring the completed student ID form to one of our ID offices.

You will be asked to present your Collin ID card at the following:
- Student Engagement events and Athletic competitions
- Student Organization Meetings
- Service projects, and
- Guests speakers or Performances
Workout, Take a Test, or Buy a Book
Other locations where your Collin ID card will be used include:
- Fitness Centers and Intramural Activities
- Taking a test in the Testing Centers or online
- Purchasing your textbooks at the campus Bookstores
Get Tutoring Help or Access the Library
Your Collin ID card will also be used to:
- Check in to the Anthony Peterson Centers for Academic Assistance (Writing Center, Math Lab, Science Den)
- Check out books, study rooms, calculators, laptops, etc., at all Collin College Libraries
