RDA Review and Exam
Overview
This RDA course is designed to help prepare the Dental Assistant for the examination required by the TSBDE covering Texas Infection Control, Jurisprudence, and Radiology. The student will learn the CDC infection control standards, waste management, and techniques to prevent cross contamination. Licensing, relevant legal terminology, ethics and radiology techniques will also be taught. Included in the course is a TSBDE approved examination.
At least 3 months of dental experience required.

Course Outcomes
- Gain an understanding of Infection Control, Jurisprudence, and Radiology
- Prepare to take the State Board exam required for Dental Assistants to become a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA).
- Complete the State Board RDA Exam.

review the steps required for the application process for obtaining the State RDA
license. There is an application fee of approximately $39.
