AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course

Enroll in Basic Life Support (EMSP 1019)
Textbook ISBN: 978-1-61669-768-6. The required textbook is included in the cost of
tuition and will be provided to students during the course.
Course Description and Outcomes
- 1-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child, and infant
- 2-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child, and infant
- Current science from American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care include:
- Critical concepts of high-quality CPR
- American Heart Association Chain of Survival
- Differences between adult, child, and infant rescue techniques
- Bag-mask techniques for adult, child, and infant
- Rescue breathing for adult, child, and infant
- Relief of choking for adult, child, and infant
- CPR with an advanced airway
- Students must score 84% or higher on the written exam and demonstrate skills proficiency.

How the Blended BLS Course Works: |
This course is completed in three steps over the span of one week:
Day 1 – Orientation (No in-person class): Your instructor will email or schedule a brief online meeting to verify attendance. After verification, you will receive your course access link (by Day 2).
Upon successful completion, you will receive your official AHA eCard certification. |
