Overview

The Automotive and Collision Technology department at Collin College prepares you for careers in today’s automotive and collision industry. Completion of these programs lead to many career opportunities to work in major dealerships, independent shops, and franchise businesses. The department’s curriculum is built around industry standards with the opportunity for you to work toward multiple Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications and I-CAR certifications for Collision Technology.

Registration

Automotive Technology and Collision Technology are offered at the Technical Campus located in Allen, Texas. Departmental approval is required for you to join the program. Visit the Automotive Technology or Collision Technology page to access and review the department checklists. After initial college admission and academic advising, you can contact the Automotive and Collision Technology Department for specific course and degree information.

 

The programs accept new students in the fall semesters, with limited acceptance for the spring semesters. Honda PACT and Toyota T-TEN are fall-start-only programs, and the Toyota and Lexus CRR Elite Enhanced Skills Certificate for Collision is currently only offered during summer semesters.
