Paramedic Accelerated Program Schedule

The Paramedic program follows the standard approximately 9-month timeline and features an intensive schedule with full-day classes. It includes a combination of face-to-face instruction, web-based courses, and clinical experiences, all designed to meet the required contact hours for certification. All in-person classes are held at the McKinney Campus, and students will earn a total of 33 credit hours. Daily schedules align with the current academic term.

This program is ideal for students who can commit to a full-time, immersive schedule. While it provides a fast track to Paramedic certification, the intensity makes it challenging to maintain additional coursework or outside employment unless participating through a sponsorship.

Paramedic Shift-Based Program Schedule

This Paramedic schedule follows an extended approximately 11-month timeline designed to accommodate the 24/48 fire department shift schedule. The program combines face-to-face instruction, web-based courses, and clinical experiences, all meeting the required contact hours for certification. All in-person classes are held at the McKinney Campus, and students will earn a total of 33 credit hours. Daily schedules vary based on the current academic term.

This pathway is an excellent option for working adults, providing flexibility to maintain employment while completing full-time Paramedic training. However, due to the program’s intensity, it may be challenging to take on additional coursework outside of the program unless participating through a sponsorship.
