Texas All-Star Jazz Camp 2026

Sunday-Friday, June 14-19, Sunday 2-5: p.m.; Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (Evening concerts at 7 p.m. on select days.)

The Texas All-Star Jazz Camp is open to musicians of all levels (with at least one year of experience on their instruments) with a minimum age of 13. The curriculum includes jazz theory, improvisation, jazz history/listening, instrumental masterclasses on saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, bass, and drums, and ensembles — big bands and combos. Jazz camp faculty include members of the Collin College Music Department as well as jazz performers and educators from across the country.


A special featured guest artist is invited to perform and teach at the camp each year. This year’s guest will be announced shortly.


Public concerts include the featured guest artist with the jazz camp faculty on June 16 or 17 and student ensembles on June 19

 

Fees

Register by April 22 for early bird tuition of $305.

Registration fee from April 23-June 13 is $330.

Optional lunch: $60 (Monday-Friday)

Optional Jazz Camp t-shirt: $15 (order deadline is Monday, May 25 at midnight)

8:30 a.m. – Jazz Theory

9:30 a.m. – Ensembles, Sectionals, Jazz History/Listening 

11 a.m. – Instrumental Masterclasses

Noon – Lunch

1 p.m. – Improvisation/Guest Artist Masterclass
2 p.m. – Ensembles, Sectionals, Jazz History/Listening

3:30 p.m. – Daily classes end


7 p.m. – Evening concerts  (on select days)
