We are excited about our partnership with Collin College here on the brand-new Celina Campus as we increase learning opportunities for CISD students in fields of health sciences, technology, and architecture design. Additionally, this will provide expanded dual credit opportunities so our students and families can get a great start on a post-secondary education.

The proximity of the campus provides access to students who previously may have been unable to attend college. For our younger students in Celina schools, a college campus in their own community complements the college-going culture we have embraced throughout our district.

The new Collin College Celina Campus is a highly valued partnership that will bring job training and job opportunities for the community and the support of our impressive local businesses.

Partnering with Collin College will be life changing for our students. We believe students who earn college credit, including earning associate degrees, while in high school are much more likely to continue their college education and complete degrees. Furthermore, Collin College credit will save families money and time, allowing students to finish their degrees with less debt and sooner than expected.

We are preparing all students to be college and career ready. Some students may choose careers in high-demand and high-wage fields that do not require a bachelors degree.

I believe the new Farmersville Campus will mean economic and residential growth. Studies show that a high percentage of students earning certificates and degrees from this campus will stay in this community, providing a rich talent pool and helping with the growth and staffing of companies in our community. I cant wait for the doors to open.
