April 14, 2022 This summer, Collin College is offering up to six hours in tuition and fee credits to qualifying new and returning students who enroll by May 9, 2022.

Individuals living in the colleges service area who are Spring 2022 high school graduates; or those who have completed high school, or the equivalent, and do not have any previous college credit; or students who have previous college credit but did not enroll in college anywhere in Spring 2022 are eligible to apply for the tuition and fee credit program.

The program is an effort to help eligible students explore college opportunities and take a major stride toward achieving their educational goals and reverse any academic slide caused by the pandemic.

It is important for students to be aware of the added resources which are currently available due to the impact of COVID-19, said Dr. Jay Corwin, chief student success officer. Collin College is committed to student success, and we want to ensure we can help students keep moving toward attaining their educational dreams.

The Student Success team is eager to assist any students in finding the best combination of grant aid that is available due to the pandemic, Dr. Corwin said. This is really a great time to be a student at Collin College.

Having a 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file for the summer can also help students receive additional aid, although it is not required for this program.
