Collin College Offers New CE Training in Six Sigma

May 5, 2022 Collin Colleges Continuing Education Department is now offering recognized professional development training in process improvement methodologies. The new Certified Six Sigma Green Belt certification preparation course will be offered from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesdays from May 17-Aug. 2.

The noncredit course is designed for quality professionals who are interested in taking the examination offered by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

This leading-edge noncredit course will assist area businesses and their employees with identifying and eliminating waste while addressing leadership culture, strategic planning, effective time management and efficiency, and career advancement, said Karen Musa, executive dean of Collin Colleges Courtyard Center. Six Sigma is known for improving customer satisfaction and cash flow, reducing operational costs, eradicating process variation, and improving regulatory compliance.

The training consists of proven Six Sigma tools and processes designed for professionals working in all types of industries including education, energy, financial services, government, health care, information technology, manufacturing, military, pharmaceutical, retail, service industry, and transportation.
