Auteur Film Series Will Explore Journalism-Related Themes

Aug. 1, 2022 Collin Colleges Auteur Film Series will focus on the theme of journalism in its 2022-23 season. The six-film series is free and open to the public.
The Auteur Film Series presents classic, foreign, and independent films with brief educational introductions before the screenings and faculty-led panel discussions afterward. The film series is designed to challenge the intellect and encourage conversations that engage students in civil discourse.
The following films are scheduled for the fall semester: The Post, shown at the Angelika Film Center in Plano, Sept. 22; Almost Famous, shown at the Frisco Campus, Oct. 18; Shattered Glass, shown at the Plano Campus, Nov. 16; The Black Press: Soldiers Without Swords, shown at the Plano Campus, Feb. 7; The Devil Wears Prada, shown at The Angelika Film Center in Plano, March 16; and Spotlight shown at the McKinney Campus, April 19.
The films will all be shown at 7 p.m. Doors open 30 minutes before the film begins, and seating is limited. Some material may not be suitable for all audiences.
