Aug. 19, 2022 The Collin College McKinney Campus officially opened the new Andrea-Mennen Welcome Center with a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony on Thursday, Aug. 18. The center was named after The Andrea-Mennen Family Foundation (TAFF) in recognition of a $1 million gift for endowed scholarships. This is the newest building addition to the McKinney Campus.

The two-story, nearly 40,000 square-foot educational facility, located at 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney, will serve current and future learners as a one-stop-shop for student enrollment services.

Were thankful to The Andrea-Mennen Family Foundation for their generous gift that will benefit our students through scholarships for years to come, said Dr. Neil Matkin, Collin College district president. The Andrea-Mennen Welcome Center is a beautiful new building that will be the warm welcoming front-door to our growing McKinney Campus.

The Andrea-Mennen Welcome Center is home to a career center, advising, admissions, financial aid, a veterans center, testing labs, counseling, and Accommodations at Collin College for Equal Support Services (ACCESS). Housing all of these services in one location will provide learners greater access to launch their educational journeys at Collin College.

The Andrea-Mennen Family Foundation has a long history of support for Collin College. It previously established two scholarship endowments with the Collin College Foundation including one which benefited health science students at the McKinney Campus.

This is an exciting time for all of our students, faculty, and staff, as we expand our campuses to better serve our communities, said Andrew Hardin, Collin College Board of Trustees Chair. This new state-of-the-art facility will play a vital role in providing quality higher education to our learners.

The Andrea-Mennen Welcome Center was designed by PBK Architects and built by Skanska. Visit www.collin.edu/campuses/centralpark/ for more information about the campus.
