A piece from Sue Anne Rische's exhibition, Auto/Body shows tags on different parts of an engine. The image has an inset of the exhibition's show card with the title of the show and a schematic of a car's wheel structure over an human anatomy drawing.

The Art Gallery at Collin College will host the exhibition “Auto/Body” by artist Sue Anne Rische from Feb. 24-March 14 at the Plano Campus. A reception is planned from 4-6:30 p.m. on March 6, and an artist talk is scheduled immediately following the reception from 6:30-7:15 p.m. The show and reception are free and open to the public.

Rische describes “Auto/Body” as “an exploration of coming of age while living in Seattle told through the conceptual connection of parts of the human body to the parts of an automobile.”

“Through the disassembled car, the memories scribed in oil spills, the somber notes on toe tags, and their placement in the settings of human living spaces, I encourage viewers to identify with our cars and how their bodies carry ours,” Rische said.

The gallery is located on Collin College’s Plano Campus, Room A175, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. Gallery hours are: 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday.
