The Collin College Board of Trustees voted on March 25 to maintain the district’s current low tuition rates for Fall 2025, citing the college’s commitment to providing affordable and accessible education for its communities. The district’s $67 per credit hour in-district tuition rate is the lowest in the state.

Board of Trustees Chair Andrew Hardin said the decision reflects the district’s commitment to educational accessibility.

“Collin College is committed to providing an affordable and impactful education to our students,” Hardin said. “As an institution, we are pleased to be able to continue with the district’s current low tuition rates to ensure that higher education remains accessible to our communities.”

The same tuition rates apply for all credit students regardless of their ultimate education goals, whether they are seeking bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, or certificates.

Dr. Neil Matkin, Collin College district president, said the Board’s decision reflects the district’s belief in providing exceptional educational opportunities at a tuition rate that does not break the bank or create large student debts.

“I am proud to work for a district and with a Board of Trustees that looks at the bottom line when it comes to tuition costs,” Dr. Matkin said. “College degrees open many doors and are life changing for our students, but they must be in a position to finish their degrees and not go deep in debt to do so. Keeping college costs down is one way we can help them reach their goals.”
