Plano Campus Library Executive Director Dr. Reina Williams earned her Ph.D. in higher education from Texas Tech University.

McKinney Campus Respiratory Care Professor Alysia Osorio completed her Master of Science (MS) degree in Respiratory Care from Texas State University.

Frisco Campus Psychology Professor Dr. Therese Ogle completed a Doctor of Behavioral Health (DBH) degree from Arizona State University, successfully completing and defending a culminating project titled “Bringing Down the Numbers: Improving Outcomes for Patients with Hypertension and Anxiety.”

McKinney Campus Central Sterile Processing Professor Pierra Boardingham was awarded the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Foundation Betty Hanna Graduate Scholarship.

History Professor Joe Jaynes was recently contacted by a former Allen High School dual credit student who shared that thanks to Jaynes’ academic impact the student is currently working as an intern at the U.S. House of Representatives. The student stated, “I genuinely believe that I wouldn’t be here without your guidance. Thank you so much.” A great sentiment for Professor Jaynes.

The Celina Campus held its annual Celina Campus Student Research Symposium (CCSRS) on Dec. 5. Instruction on research, writing, poster design, and presentation skills was provided to 510 students enrolled in Biology, English, Government, and History courses. Fifty-six students (36 dual credit) presented 48 research posters at the symposium. The guest speaker was U.S. Olympian Johnny Quinn. There were more than 170 people who attended, including parents and community members. The CCSRS team members are:
