Dance Faculty Bio
Meghan Cardwell-Wilson, Professor of Dance
Meghan Cardwell-Wilson enjoys moving and writing. She is the Dance Discipline Lead and teaches modern, jazz, ballet, improvisation, composition, performance, and Dance Appreciation. Meghan performs and choreographs with Full Circle Dance, and she spent ten years with Muscle Memory Dance Theatre (M2DT) as a performer, choreographer, and company manager. She has performed the work of Sarah Gamblin, Amy L. Jennings, Randee Paufve, Amy Querin, and Lesley Snelson at venues across Texas and in Florida, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Washington, D.C. Her choreography has been presented at the American College Dance Association, Austin College, Barefoot Brigade, Brazos Dance Festival, Collin College, The Exchange, North Central Texas College, Oklahoma Contemporary Dance Festival, Out of the Loop Festival, Tarrant County College, Texas Woman’s University, and with the Ghost Town Arts Collective at the Las Cruces Museum of Art.
Meghan has studied at Bates Dance Festival and the American Dance Festival. She earned an M.F.A. in Dance from Texas Woman's University, graduating with the department's excellence in research and writing award. As an undergraduate student, she double majored in English and Philosophy at Austin College in Sherman, TX, graduating magna cum laude.
