EMT Zero to Hero

This EMT schedule offers an accelerated, approximately 3-month pathway designed for students eager to begin a career in emergency services. The program includes 3 courses—2 lecture/lab courses and 1 clinical course—and is delivered fully face-to-face on the McKinney Campus. Students earn nine credit hours upon completion.

This schedule supports a clear career pipeline for those pursuing firefighter readiness, allowing sponsored students from local workforce and public safety partners to progress efficiently from EMT certification to Fire Academy training and Paramedic certification. Civilian students are also encouraged to apply, making this pathway accessible to individuals entering the field as well as those sponsored by partner agencies.

EMT Night Shift

This EMT schedule option is designed specifically for working students who are not sponsored and need the flexibility to balance employment with coursework. Classes are held in the evening, allowing students to work during the day while completing their training at night.

Instruction is fully face-to-face and includes 2 lecture/lab courses and 1 clinical course. Evening classes typically begin around 5:30 PM. To accommodate the required contact hours for certification within a night schedule, this pathway extends slightly beyond the accelerated 3-month format. Students will earn 9 credit hours upon completion while progressing toward EMT certification in a schedule built to support work-life balance.
