The following federal grants have been previously awarded to Collin College:
National Convergence Technology Center (CTC)
The National Convergence Technology Center helped colleges meet the fast-growing demand from business and industry seeking IT specialists by engaging a Business and Industry Leadership Team (BILT) to identify needed skills that inform curriculum updates nationally; training faculty to teach emerging technologies through professional development; providing virtual lab capability for students to reduce costs and increase availability; and supporting high schools, colleges, and universities nationally through the "Convergence College Network" (CCN) Community of Practice (CoP) whereby members share expertise with one another to improve their IT programs.

IT Skill Standards 2020 and Beyond (ITSS)
The mission of ITSS was to create future-facing, employer-led skill standards and student learning outcomes for the most critical IT job clusters with the goal of expanding the pipeline of right-skilled individuals to fill the many open IT jobs across the nation over the next several years.
