Oct. 22, 2021 The Art Gallery at Collin College will host Being Human Beings, an exhibition focused on the human condition and the greatness of being human, from Oct. 27-Nov. 30. A reception for the exhibition will be held Nov. 4 from 4-7 p.m. in The Art Gallery.

After the closures, restrictions, and changes occurring because of a global pandemic, I felt it would be a good time to emphasize human subject matter in artworks, including all media related to this topic, said Julie Shipp, exhibition curator. This show is a reminder of the uniqueness of individuals and what we do in our daily lives.

The exhibition will include works by: Kim Bishop, Jeff Follender, Magdalena Guajardo, Hudson Ingram, Perry Langenstein, M. Maschke, Juan Miguel Ramos, Angelica Romo, Robyn Rozelle, Hugo Santana, Jessica Lauren Smith, Keith Williams, and Anahita Younesi.

In addition to the exhibition and reception, the college will hold an Art Caf presentation withguest lecturer Ricky Armendariz, a San Antonio-based artist and professor at The University of Texas at San Antonio on Nov. 4 from Noon-12:45 p.m. in The Art Gallery.
