Continuing Education Offers Two New Courses this Fall, Aerial Drone and Digital Drawing

Sept. 1, 2022 Collin College Continuing Education will offer two new courses this fall, Aerial Drone and Digital Drawing. Classes begin Sept. 12.

Aerial Drone, Introduction to UAS/FAA Part 107 Exam Test Prep (70612) is a course designed to introduce Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) basic operations and functionality along with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 regulations and airspace knowledge. After taking the course, students will have the adequate knowledge to pass the FAA Part 107 Exam and become certified commercial UAS pilots. The course is scheduled to be taught in person at the Technical Campus in Allen from Monday-Thursday from 6-8 p.m. through Sept. 27. Cost for the course is $989 for 20 hours. 

Introduction to Digital Drawing (70566) is a course designed to teach students how to create a drawing using graphics software. Instead of using a pencil and paper, students will learn to draw with a tablet or a computer using a mouse or a stylus. The course will be online and delivered through live streaming via Zoom. Classes are scheduled for Mondays from 6-9 p.m. Cost for the course is $179 for 18 hours.
