Collin College Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Sept. 15, 2022 Collin College will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with events in September and October. Free and open to the public, book exhibits of Hispanic authors will be featured from Sept. 15-Oct. 15 at the colleges campus libraries in Plano, Celina, and Frisco. Additional events, listed below, are also free and open to the public.
September Events:
Artist Ricardo Ruiz Allegory Wood Recent Works Exhibition
A pioneer of the Contemporary Chicano Art Movement, Ruizs work is featured in the
Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art and Culture in Riverside, California.
This exhibition features 12 original drawings created specifically for the Collin
College event.
Monday-Friday now through Oct. 13, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Hispanic country flags will be on display in the Wylie Campus Student Center from Sept. 15- Oct. 15. Also, a special menu featuring Hispanic dishes from Mexico, Cuba, Peru, and Argentina including enchiladas, ropa vieja, lomo saltado, and chicken chimichurri will be available for purchase each Wednesday throughout Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 21-Oct. 12) at the Wylie Campus Mama Lucidos Caf.
