Collin College Hosts 10th Annual North Texas ISSA Conference at the Plano Campus

Sept. 15, 2022 Collin College will host the North Texas Information Systems Security Association, Inc. (NTXISSA) 10thannual Cybersecurity Conference from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sept. 23 at the Living Legends Conference Center at the Plano Campus.

The purpose of the NTXISSA is to provide resources to people and organizations to raise the level of security and data privacy consciousness among information systems. For the last 10 years, Collin College has hosted the NTXISSA Cybersecurity Conference at the Plano Campus to bring professionals, students, and others interested in cybersecurity together to offer opportunities for networking, education, and collaboration. This spring the college was designated by the National Security Agency (NSA) as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense. The college also received validation from the NSA for its Associate of Applied Science in Information Systems Cybersecurity degree through 2027.

This year, the NTXISSA conference will focus on a variety of topics such as cloud application, IoT security, digital forensics, building security programs, growing cybersecurity careers, and more. Community sponsors will also host educational sessions as well as booths with swag and giveaways.

Registration is required prior to the event. Student admission is $35, and general admission is $75. Conference admission grants the bearer access to all sessions. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all attendees.
