Collin Corporate College is offering a new Leadership Development Program and a Leadership Coaching Clinic.

Dr. Roger Widmer, chief operating officer of Collin Corporate College, said the new leadership program was designed to meet requests from area companies to develop a nontraditional pipeline for the next generation of organizational leaders.

“Area businesses are expanding, and they are looking for ways to grow their leaders organically,” Dr. Widmer said. “The business community told us that a gap exists. Collin Corporate College can step right in and fill these kinds of gaps. We recently partnered with business leaders and developed a customized training program tailored to their needs.”

“What we love about the program and what makes it so unique, is how customizable it is and how hands on the Corporate College team really are,” said Mari Orozco, organizational development/employee engagement administrator for the city of Allen. “With their guidance and expertise, we were able to roll out a program that not only met the learning needs of our organization, but completely aligned with our culture and values. The Corporate College team has been with us every step of the way ensuring that each cohort that goes through the program has a great experience. We couldn’t have picked a better partner.”

Employers can choose the complete six-month program, which meets virtually or in person monthly, or select from several sessions offered annually. Sessions include the Role of the Leader; New Leader/Program Assimilation; Leading with Emotional Intelligence; Cultural Awareness and Team Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Managing Performance, Goal Setting, and Feedback; and Leading Organizational Change.

Collin Corporate College also offers leadership coaching on demand. The Leadership Coaching Clinic is targeted to seasoned business leaders and professionals, early career professionals, middle managers, and international professionals new to the U.S. business environment, and leaders facing challenges driving global initiatives. The clinic provides experienced executive coaches, who are impartial and familiar with a range of private, public, and nonprofit organizations and their operations. These 45-minute private sessions foster focused and confidential discussions, enabling the leader to reflect and take immediate and appropriate action to challenging situations.

“Executive coaching can cost thousands of dollars, and our clients have expressed disbelief at the affordability of our services, which are taught by experts in the field with more than 25 years of experience,” Dr. Widmer said.
