Annual 'Madrigal Dinner' is Collin College Tradition

The Collin College Opera Workshop will host its third annual Madrigal Dinner, an evening of singing and dancing with a five-course meal in the Plano Campus Living Legends Conference Center at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. Tickets are $30 for Collin College students and children and $42 for general admission.

A celebration of vocal music and Renaissance dinner theatre, the Madrigal Dinner will feature performances by the college’s Chamber Choir and Instrumental Consort. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite period costumes, although weaponry is strongly discouraged. The five-course dinner menu features mixed greens and roasted fall fruits and berries, winter squash and roasted apple soup, either a vegetable gratin entree or roasted herbed chicken entree, a luxurious spice cake with sweet vanilla bean crème anglaise with steaming wassail, tea, and water.

“Begin your holiday season with a beautiful evening of singing and dining that is fast becoming a tradition for Collin College,” said Casey L. Carter, discipline lead and director of Vocal and Opera Studies at the college. “This is an event you won’t soon forget.”

Tickets must be reserved online by Monday, Nov. 27 at 9 a.m. and may be purchased at https://epay.collin.edu/C20053_ustores/web/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCTID=5148. Tickets will not be available thereafter or at the door.
