The Art Gallery at Collin College hosts 'Election Year, Screenthyme, and the Made' by Eric Fuertes

The Art Gallery at Collin College will host the exhibition Election Year, Screenthyme, and the Made by artist Eric Fuertes from Oct. 28-Nov. 20 at the Plano Campus. A reception is planned from 4-6:30 p.m. on Nov. 20. The show and reception are free and open to the public.

Fuertes describes Election Year, Screenthyme, and the Made as “an exploration of the multifaceted and often contradictory realities that define contemporary American Life.”  

A sculpture by Eric Fuertes similar to the Venus di Milo in the middle of the street.“Through this body of work, I invite viewers to confront the surreal landscape of politics and media, reflecting on the profound impact these forces have on our collective and individual identities,” Fuertes said.

Visitors are also encouraged to join faculty, staff, and students for an artist demo and talk from 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 24 and an iron pour, beginning at noon on Oct. 25.

The gallery is located on Collin College’s Plano Campus, Room A175, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday.
