With millions of cars on the road and more cars coming to Collin County every day, the market for a career in collision repair is strong. As a Collision Repair Technician with an education from Collin College, you will help improve the appearance and functionality of any vehicle after an accident or when other body damage has occurred.

Marketable Skills and Certifications

 

Skills that you can achieve include estimating damage, repairing dents, replacing parts, analyzing structural damage, and refinishing vehicles. In addition to earning marketable skills, industry equipment training, stackable certificates, and AAS degrees, completers will earn industry recognized I-CAR certifications and prepare for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.

 

We currently offer Level 1 certificates in Paint Technician or Metal Technician, or our Level 2 certificate which will combine both Level 1 certificates. The Associate of Applied Science degree in Collision Technology is all our Collision Technology classes, along with five general education classes.

Toyota and Lexus Collision Repair and Refinishing (CRR) Elite Training

 

We offer a specialized training with Toyota called the Toyota and Lexus Collision Repair and Refinishing (CRR) Elite Training, which will give students the opportunity to become Toyota and Lexus certified in refinishing and repair. Students leave with the knowledge and skills to work on these popular brands, as well as a Level 3 Enhanced Skills Certificate in Toyota Collision Technician.


To qualify for the Toyota and Lexus CRR Elite training, students must be graduates of a Collision/Auto Body Repair program, or Collision/Auto Body Repair students that transfer in 30+ ABDR hours.
