Summer Tuition Waiver Program for Graduating Dual Credit Seniors

DCAP Summer 2025

DCAP is a summer tuition waiver program for up to 800 spring 2025 high school graduates who have completed at least 9 credit hours of dual credit with Collin College by the end of the Spring 2025 semester.

The DCAP tuition waiver will cover:

 

      • Up to 7 credit hours of tuition
      • Lab fees for covered courses
      • The student activity fee for covered courses
      • The student record fee

 



 

Students who:

 

        • Are graduating from high school in May/June 2025
        • Have or will have earned at least 9 credit hours of dual credit by the end of Spring 2025
        • Complete the DCAP application by April 24, 2025 at 5 PM
        • Are one of the first 800 qualifying students to complete the application

 



 

DCAP applications are reviewed on a first come, first served basis. The first 800 qualifying students will be selected to receive the tuition waiver.

 



 

The P-12 Partnerships Office will provide updates on DCAP applications and waivers via the dualcredit@collin.edu email.

All email communication will be sent the student's Collin and personal emails as listed in Workday. 

 



 

Student Financial Services could begin applying your DCAP tuition waiver to your student financial records in April.

Keep an eye on your Collin College email—a confirmation email from Student Financials will be sent once it’s processed.



 

Students who receive the tuition waiver can register for more than 7 credit hours as long as they are within the maximum course load limits per Collin policy: more information can be found here

 

Students who register for more than 7 credit hours will be responsible for payment of their remaining balance in accordance with Collin policy: more information can be found here

 



 

Students can register for any credit course using their DCAP tuition waiver that is available during Summer 2025. Students can take courses in-person or online.

 

The DCAP tuition waiver does not guarantee a seat in your prefered course, so register early!

The DCAP tuition waiver does not cover the following:

 

    • Tuition charges for any credit hours in excess of 7 credit hours
    • Course materials, includes first day access fees
    • Special course fees
    • Late registration fees
    • Continuing education courses (non-credit courses)

 

Additionally, students will not receive any form of refund for the waiver amount. 



 

DCAP tuition waivers are limited to Summer 2025 only. We are not able to roll the credit onto Fall 2025 balances.
