Academic Alliance Overview

Collin College, Texas State University (TXST), and The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) have joined forces to create the Collin College Academic Alliance. Located at the Collin College Technical Campus in Allen, the Academic Alliance will begin in the Fall semester of 2025. You can co-enroll at Collin College and a top-notch university, and earn an associate degree while seamlessly earning a bachelor’s degree.

 

Save Money! Taking many of your courses through Collin College will save you thousands of dollars in tuition.

 

Experience Convenience! You never have to leave Collin County to earn a bachelor’s degree from Texas State University or The University of Texas at Dallas. Advising is available online or at the Collin College Technical Campus. Programs begin in the Fall semester of 2025.

 

Enjoy Alliance Perks! You will be a Collin College and a university partner student, so you can reap the benefits of student access to sports, events, advising, and library resources at Collin College and the partner university.

Academic Alliance FAQs


Yes, either online or with an advisor from the partner school who is stationed at the Technical Campus in Allen.

The bachelor’s degree will be from the university (TXST or UTD), but you will also earn an associate degree from Collin College at the same time.

Yes, the credit hours will be combined to determine eligibility, and you will only have to apply for financial assistance with one school.

The Collin College courses will be charged Collin College rates, and the university partner school courses will be charged at the university partner school tuition rates.
