Financial Transparency
Annual Budget by Fiscal Year
Collin College's operating budget is prepared for the fiscal year, beginning September 1 and ending August 31.
The budget is developed with input from all internal departments within the College and presented to the Board of Trustees for consideration and approval in August of each fiscal year.
Annual Financial Report by Fiscal Year
Collin College's annual comprehensive financial report provides detailed information about the financial condition and performance of the college. Fiscal Year is September 1 to August 31
Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (GFOA)
The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States (GFOA) has awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Collin College for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ended August 31, 2022.

Every two years, Texas state agencies request funding from the Legislature. That request is called the Legislative Appropriations Request (LAR).
Although Texas's legislative session begins in January of each odd-numbered year, Collin College normally submits their LARs in the fall of each even-numbered year.
