Important deadlines to know for each semester:
• Semester Dates
• Census Date (Last day to drop)
• Withdraw Deadline
In addition to the dates above, self-registering students will benefit from learning these deadlines as well which are found in the academic year's Master Calendar:
- Early Registration and Payment Deadline
- After a term's Early Registration payment deadline date, payment must be made at the time of course registration to ensure course enrollment status, regardless of the start date of the course. An outstanding balance on a student account will result in registration and transcript holds on the account, and the registration status may also be changed.
• Hard Stop Registration Deadline (Last day to register for classes)

Once students have earned 15 credit hours, they are considered degree seeking and are required to take the TSIA2 or provide proof of exemption if they have not already taken a college level course in ELAR and/or MATH. Additional information and sign up instructions are available online here.
Once a student reaches the 15 credit hour limit, there are 2 options:
- Option 1: Take the TSI
- Option 2: Request a TSI exemption based on SAT or ACT scores
- Provide a copy of your unofficial score report to tsi_info@collin.edu
- Order your official score report to be sent to Collin College within 60 days
As a Dual Credit student you can have a partial TSI status or use a combination of the above to meet college readiness standards. If you are signing up for a workforce program only, please reach out to your designated Collin contact or the Dual Credit Office for assistance.
Dual Credit students do not need to provide proof of their meningitis vaccine if they are only taking courses online or on their high school campus. If you are taking courses on a Collin Campus, you must upload a current vaccine record or exemption through Workday.
